Service Projects

NCSSO, Inc. supports several community service projects that provide free medical and dental services, meals and clothing to benefit the members of our community who are most in need.
Here are the key community service projects supported by NCSSO that are completely managed by volunteers with 0% administration overhead.

Free Health Care Day

Every year, NCSSO supports the Free Healthcare Day @ Raleigh. In past these events have provided the following services: Free health screening, testing, consultation, eye testing, eye prescriptions, reading glasses, dental checkup, flue shots and hair cuts. On a typical year, we serve about 300 adults and children.

Breakfast Service

Once every month about 10 volunteers from the Raleigh Sai Center prepare a healthy breakfast at the Wake county shelter in Raleigh. Grilled cheese sandwich, 3 types of breakfast cereal, fresh cut fruit salad with in season fruits, muffins or cookies and orange juice are served at 6 AM. On an average 130 people benefit seeing enthusiastic and welcoming volunteers serving healthy breakfast once a month.

Stop hunger now

We partnered with “Stop Hunger Now” organization and donated about 10,152 meals. The food items consist of rice, soy, essential vitamins and minerals and salt in a package. These items were packaged by Sai volunteers from Raleigh, Charlotte, Greensboro and Anderson Sai centers. All the packages are bar coded for tracking purposes.

CWS Refugee Assistance

NCSSO is proud to partner with Church World Service (CWS) which has been assisting refugees for

twin bedding, sets of dishes, tableware, cooking utensils, mixing bowls, and cookware (pots, pans,
