NCSSO, Inc. supports several community service projects that provide free medical and dental services, meals and clothing to benefit the members of our community who are most in need.
Here are the key community service projects supported by NCSSO that are completely managed by volunteers with 0% administration overhead.

Free Health Days
With steadfast partners Holy Trinity Lutheran Church (Raleigh) and Pullen Memorial Baptist Church (Raleigh), NCSSO organizes Free Health Days, which include medical screening, vision testing and free prescription and reading glasses, and dental services. Consultations with physicians are available. Ancillary services which have been offered in the past include free flu shots, haircuts, and showers. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of NC is a sponsor of Free Health Days.

Rise Against Hunger
NCSSO sponsors meal packaging events with Rise Against Hunger and supports its global movement to end hunger. Volunteers pack meals consisting of rice, soy protein, vegetables, and vitamins which are shipped to people, including school children, all over the world..

Refugee Support
NCSSO is proud to partner with Church World Service (CWS), an organization which has been resettling refugees for nearly eighty years. NCSSO supports the core principles of CWS – acceptance, collaboration, and dignity – and the belief that every single person has skills and gifts to contribute. NCSSO provides school supplies, bedding, cookware and cutlery, linens, household products, and other necessities to refugees settling in North Carolina..

Meal Preparation
NCSSO provides volunteer assistance and financial support for meals prepared at various institutions across the Triangle, including the South Wilmington Shelter (Raleigh), the Ronald McDonald House (Chapel Hill), the Interfaith Council for Social Service (Carrboro)

Food Bank CENC
NCSSO provides Financial and volunteer support for the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina.

Interfaith Council
Meal preparation and volunteer support for Interfaith Council for Social Service in Carrboro, NC and
the Ronald McDonald House in Chapel Hill, NC.

Habitat of Humanity
NCSSO has been a long sponsor for Habitat of Humanity of Wake County.

Bombas Giving Partner
As a Bombas Giving Partner, NCSSO distributed over 1,200 pairs of socks to individuals and
emergency housing centers in Wake, Orange, Lee, and Richmond counties in NC, as well to
individuals in Atlanta, GA through Food4Lives.

Local Family Support
NCSSO does regular financial and social support for local families in need (covering expenses including rent,
utilities, and repairs) for those in need
